Exploring the new Amazfit GTS 4 firmware update 3.24.1.1

Zepp Health has rolled out a significant firmware update for the Amazfit GTS 4 smartwatch, version 3.24.1.1. The software notably includes support for the company’s AI-powered smart coaching algorithm. This innovative feature offers tailored training guidance, adapting to individual user needs.

The introduction of Zepp Coach mirrors a similar upgrade that the Amazfit GTR 4 received back in May. Both devices now support smart, AI-driven coaching, along with a few other features.

This intelligent programme provides individualised workout advice, making it feel like you always have a personal trainer on hand. The Zepp Coach has the potential to help you get fit faster. It does this by analysing your workout data and giving you actionable advice on how to improve your training.

Zepp Health has released a few AI-driven features, this year. No doubt, other brands will follow soon – as this is the future.

A few other features…

Other upgrades, as part of this update, include the following.

Post-workout heart rate measurements

Post-workout heart rate measurement keeps tabs on the user’s heart rate three minutes after the end of a workout. This data can be conveniently viewed in the app workout record, allowing for a detailed post-workout analysis.

Essential readingTop fitness trackers and health gadgets

This is useful for determining your overall fitness level as well as the effectiveness of your workout. It indicates your cardiovascular health by providing insights on your body’s ability to recuperate after exercise. A quick return to resting heart rate indicates a robust, healthy heart and effective recovery processes. Furthermore, recording these changes over time can help you recognise fitness improvements, optimise your workout intensity, and detect potential health risks.

Conditional Pause: One-time auto pause

In addition to AI coaching and heart rate measurement, the 3.24.1.1 update includes something called Conditional Pause. This function automatically enters a pause state when the workout goal is completed. Importantly, the operation is only valid once.

This leads to more accurate data logging, as it only captures active exercise time, ensuring you get precise insights into your performance. It also promotes goal-setting and completion, enhancing the overall workout experience.

Workout detection and heart rate algorithm improvements

Finally, the latest firmware update optimizes the workout detection algorithm, enhancing the accuracy and timeliness of motion entry. This improvement allows users to keep track of their workouts more precisely, further empowering their fitness journey.

Simultaneously, the heart rate algorithm has been optimised. It should now provide more accurate measurements and better monitoring of activity intensity.

The 3.24.1.1 firmware update for the Amazfit GTS 4 is indeed a significant one. It might be following on the heels of a similar update for the GTR 4, released about two months earlier, but it’s a case of ‘better late than never.’

The update packs a range of notable features from the AI-enabled Zepp Coach personal training to the refined heart rate and workout algorithms. This enhancement not only amplifies the fitness capabilities of the device but also enriches user interaction, amplifying the overall experience with the Amazfit GTS 4.
