Huawei Watch Fit 3 preps for May 7th launch: First official video
Huawei is gearing up to enter the next generation of fitness trackers with the highly anticipated Watch Fit 3. The Apple-watch lookalike is set to land on may 7th. We’ve also learned some more details about its technical specs thanks to a few retailer leaks. There’s also a offical promotional video that has been released now.

Design and display: A sleek upgrade
The Huawei Watch Fit 3 inherits the sleek design language popularized by its predecessors. Constructed with an aluminum alloy case, it will be available in a choice of classic black and white, alongside stylish pink and gold color options.
The vibrant 1.82-inch AMOLED display boasts adaptive brightness, ensuring good readability in both bright sunlight and low-light conditions. The screen has a pixel resolution of 480 x 480, and adaptive brightness. It is able to support third party watch faces.
As far as weight, you should hardly feel it on your wrist. The whole thing comes in at just 26 grams.
On the right-hand side of the device is a rotating crown and a push button. As mentioned, this arrangement along with the square display scream Apple Watch.
Health and fitness tracking
Huawei has packed the Watch Fit 3 with a comprehensive suite of health and fitness tracking features. Expect continuous heart rate monitoring, SpO2 (blood oxygen) tracking, in-depth sleep analysis, calorie tracking, step counting, and dedicated workout modes such as cycling, hiking and more. There are three ring sports reports, along with exercises for weight goals and more.
Bluetooth 5.2 ensures seamless connectivity to your smartphone, while the addition of built-in GPS takes outdoor exercise tracking to the next level. There’s also a dedicated Track Running mode for precise lap distance tracking, Bluetooth calling for on-wrist communication, and even personalized workout suggestions based on your data.

Battery life is a significant strength of the Huawei Watch Fit 3. The substantial 400mAh battery promises up to 10 days of typical usage, minimizing the need for frequent charging. When recharging is needed, the device’s fast charging technology ensures you’ll be back in action quickly. A charge from zero to full can be achieved in just 68 minutes. With a 5ATM water resistance rating, the Watch Fit 3 is suitable for swimming, workouts, and regular daily wear without worry.
Pricing and availability
Huawei will release the Watch Fit 3 with two strap choices, impacting the final price:
- €159 for models with a durable plastic strap
- €179 for versions with a stylish leather strap
The global release on May 7th 2024 will likely see staggered availability across different regions. Huawei will probably launch the device alongside an updated version of FreeBuds, the MateBook X Pro 2024 and the latest HUAWEI MateBook D laptops.
