Xiaomi’s Black Shark unveils new smartwatch with built-in camera
Black Shark has expanded its wearable tech portfolio with the introduction of the Watch X-H100, a smartwatch with a built-in camera.
For those not in the know, this is a sub-brand of Xiaomi best known for its gaming-focused gear. This new smartwatch follows the company’s recent expansion into the wearable market, which included the release of its first smart ring in April.
Watch X-H100 – a sizeable display and hefty battery
The Watch X-H100 features a 1.9-inch display, offering users a spacious interface for interacting with the device. Xiaomi claims the screen can reach a peak brightness of 600 nits, which should provide fairly decent visibility in various lighting conditions. The display also boasts a 60 Hz refresh rate, which is in line with current smartwatch standards.

One of the notable aspects of the Watch X-H100 is its battery life. Equipped with a massive 900 mAh battery, the device is rated for approximately 72 hours of use between charges. That’s not too bad considring the specs.
Some unique features
The Watch X-H100 sets itself apart with some unique features. It supports cellular connectivity, allowing for more independent use without a paired smartphone.
But what really stands out as its most distinctive feature is a built-in 2 MP camera. It is positioned where one might typically find a digital crown. This camera is designed for scanning QR codes, potentially streamlining certain tasks for users. Smartwatches with a built-in camera are not commonly found.
Available only in China – for now
Just like its smart ring, the Black Shark Watch X-H100 is available in China through JD.com, priced at CNY 699 (approximately $98 USD). This positions it as a more affordable option compared to some of Xiaomi’s other recent smartwatch offerings. As of now, there’s no information about international availability for the Watch X-H100, which is the case for most Black Shark wearables.
