Garmin teases livestream of Fenix 8 launch event on the 27th
The world’s worst kept secret is about to be made official by Garmin. The company has teased the launch event for Fenix 8 line and possibly Enduro 3 for Tuesday, August 27th.
There’s a page set up on creacast.com for the livestream with a countdown timer that ends at 1pm CET tomorrow. For those not in the know, this is a live streaming website. And it is where you will be able to watch Garmin’s big reveal in real-time. To our knowledge, this is the first time the company is making such a big deal about a new unveiling. Typically it just issues a press release or two.
To dispel absolutely any remaining doubt about what is occurring tomorrow, Garmin has also posted a short video clip on Twitter. The number “8” appears prominently throughout. Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know this is a reference to the upcoming Fenix 8 series.
What to expect, availability
Of course, most things about the Fenix 8 series are already known thanks to a plethora of leaks. And individuals actually being able to purchase the device in the past couple of days from various retailers! Granted they were not able to make them fully functional as Garmin Connect has not been updated yet to accept the connection from the new watch.

But the fact that some people have already been able to purchase new watches suggest that, unlike some previous launches, there will be immediate availability – at least in the US. We had seen some international retailers mention September 4-6th, but this may be to do with individual country availability.
As far as what to expect, look for three different sized iterations of the Fenix 8 to land, a 43mm, 47mm and 51mm variant. All of these will be in AMOLED, with an MIP screen option available for the two larger sizes. Also due to be unveiled tomorrow is the Fenix 8 E. That one will come in a single 47mm AMOLED iteration and older tech then what can be found on the Fenix 8.
Another possibility for tomorrow is that we might see the Enduro 3 watch make its debut. But there have been murmurings that one has been delayed.
