IFA 2024 | Withings unveils high-end watch & Cardio Check-Up
Withings has debuted the ScanWatch Nova Brilliant at IFA in Berlin today, its latest hybrid smartwatch. The company is also launching a new premium service helping users better understand their heart health.
We are on the ground at IFA bringing you the news. Another gadget we’ve spotted at the Withings stand is BeamO. For those not in the know, this is a multiscope that allows users to perform a 4-in-1 health checkup of body temperature, heart, and lung health in under a minute.
But it is not available for purchase yet. I asked one of the Withings representatives when this will become publicly available. It seems the wait will be a bit longer. The company is still in process of securing necessary regultory approvals, and availability is expected to start in Q1 2025.
ScanWatch Nova Brilliant: Luxury Meets Health Technology
The main news, however is the introduction of ScanWatch Nova Brilliant. This new device combines high-end fashion with advanced health monitoring capabilities.

The ScanWatch Nova Brilliant packs a titanium bezel and ultra-durable sapphire glass, and is available in gold and silver finishes. It incorporates a lot of the design from ScanWatch Nova. You can actually see the new versus old device in the headline image of this article. Unlike its predecessor, though, this device is built for daintier wrists thanks to a 39mm case.
The new version shares much of the functionality with ScanWatch 2. As noted in my hands-on review, this is a refined hybrid smartwatch. Its beautiful design, combined with its advanced features like a temperature sensor and 3rd gen PPG sensor. While ScanWatch 2 may not be the best option for intense sports tracking, it excels in everyday health monitoring and offers impressive battery life.
The ScanWatch Nova Brilliant is another device along these lines – only more premium. The company says it will be available for purchase in November. There will be a number of different styles like titanium silver and a stunning bicolor silver and gold, combined with a 5-link bracelet. In the US pricing is set at $599.95, in the EU at €599,95 and UK £549.95.
Cardio Check-Up
Alongside the new smartwatch, Withings is launching Cardio Check-Up, a new service within its Withings+ subscription platform. This offers users a detailed clinical review of their heart health by board-certified cardiologists within 24 hours, all from the comfort of their homes.
Cardio Check-Up will initially be available in France, Germany, and the UK. It’s compatible with various Withings devices capable of delivering an ECG, including the company’s latest hybrid watches, its Body Scan connected scale, the Move ECG and BPM Core connected monitors, as well as BeamO.
