Amazfit Balance users get first look at redesigned Zepp app

Zepp Health has rolled out an exclusive Beta test of its redesigned mobile application. If you’re an Amazfit Balance user, the company is inviting you to try this updated app, and early feedback is rolling in—so far, mostly positive. While this isn’t a complete overhaul of features, it’s the user interface (UI) that’s getting the attention, and it’s a welcome change for many.

Early testers have described the new UI as clean, sharp, and intuitive. If you’ve been finding the old app a bit cluttered, this might feel like a breath of fresh air. So while the update doesn’t bring any new features to the table, it focuses on something equally crucial: ease of use. Testers report that the redesign makes navigating the app and finding information much more straightforward.

Usual Beta software warnings apply

For Amazfit Balance users considering participation in the beta test, Zepp has provided reassurance regarding data integrity. The company says that upgrading to the beta version will not result in any loss of existing information or settings. So you can strike that off your list of worries.

It’s worth noting that the scope of this beta test is limited to the smartphone app experience. Zepp has clarified that participating in the test won’t trigger any software updates for the Amazfit Balance watch itself. Also, the new app will not work with T-Rex 3 or any other Amazfit watches. Only Balance for now.

The company is asking for feedback, and it’s pretty clear they want to hear from you. For specific issues such as bugs or features not working as expected, you can submit reports directly through the app’s built-in feedback mechanism. For more general feedback, suggestions, and overall impressions, Zepp plans to provide a separate form.

As with any beta software, Zepp Health has been transparent about the potential risks involved. The company has advised potential testers to be prepared for possible unforeseen issues, a standard caveat when it comes to Beta software testing.
