Xiaomi is preparing to launch Smart Band 9 Active
It seems Xiaomi will, once again, have three different iterations of the Smart Band 9. Newly leaked images have given us a sneak peek into the Smart Band 9 Active.
According to unofficial renders, the device appears to feature a 1.47-inch display, so same size as its predecessor. You’ll be able to pick it up in at least three color options: Pink, Black, and White.
One notable design element highlighted in the leaked images is the band’s coverage of the frame’s sides. This subtle change from its predecessor, the Band 8 Active, might contribute to improved durability. Additionally, the new model seems to sport a flat display, contrasting with the curved screen of its forerunner. So the visual changes are not huge.
Practicality appears to be a key focus, with reports suggesting that the strap will be both detachable and interchangeable. Again, no surprise there.
Beyond that, talk is that Smart Band 9 Active will spit out 18 days of use on a single charge. That’s 4 days more than Band 8 Active.
All of this information comes from YtechB, the same source which leaked info on the upcoming Smart Band 9 Pro. Both of these devices are yet to see the light of day.

It seems Xiaomi is opting for iterative upgrades this year. Without new sensors, it is becoming more difficult to innovate each and every year. Hopefully 2025 will see some advancement in innovative sensor technology. Blood pressure, hydration tracking, glucose – have been on our wish-list for a while now.
