Instinct 3 now showing up on the Garmin Peru payment portal

Another listing on a Garmin regional website has provided the latest evidence of the company’s upcoming Instinct 3 smartwatch. We’ve spotted the device alongside numerous existing Garmin products on the company’s Garmin Pay portal in Peru.

The page confirms that Garmin Pay functionality will be available on both standard and Solar variants of the Instinct 3. This maintains the contactless payment capabilities that have become increasingly central to Garmin’s ecosystem.

Recent developments suggest Garmin has been gradually preparing for the Instinct 3’s launch across multiple markets. Just days before our Peru discovery, the Solar variant briefly appeared on Garmin Spain’s website, revealing a 45mm case size before the listing was promptly removed. These international website appearances, while likely unintentional, are strong indicators of the device’s imminent release.

Display technology remains a point of particular interest for potential buyers. The Solar variant will almost certainly retain the power-efficient MIP (Memory-In-Pixel) display that has become synonymous with extended battery life in Garmin’s outdoor-focused devices. However, Garmin is gradually moving to AMOLED displays – so there is an outside chance the non-solar variant might be AMOLED.

Timing for the release appears to be taking shape, with a mention on Garmin Hungary’s website suggesting a January debut. This aligns with Garmin’s established pattern of introducing new products. Rather than during Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, they typically land in the second half of January.

The Garmin Pay page on the Peru website doesn’t list any other new devices – so Instinct 3 might be the only new Garmin device at the start of the year. To remind, we are also expecting Garmin Fenix 8 Pro and a MicroLED version of Fenix 8 to launch in the near future. Quite possibly in the Spring.
