Zepp Health’s new AI powered food log starts appearing for Europe users
Some users in Europe have started spotting a new AI-powered food logging feature popping up. It’s been in beta for a while, but until now it was only showing up for folks in the US. We haven’t had the chance to try it ourselves yet, but people on Amazfit Facebook groups and Reddit have been posting about it, sharing screenshots and giving a sneak peek at what it’s like.
Designed for the Amazfit ecosystem, the new food logging system simplifies meal tracking through AI technology. Users can simply take a photo of their meal, and the app automatically analyzes the image to calculate key nutritional components including calories, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. For those who prefer more precise control, the system allows manual adjustments to both macronutrient values and specific recipe ingredients.

Early user feedback from beta testers has been encouraging. Many are praising the system’s accuracy and ease of use. However, one feature that is missing is the ability to scan barcodes. Hopefully the company will add this in as it will simplify the logging system.

Unclear release timeline
The timeline for a wider release remains unclear. Back in December, the company opened a Beta group to which you could apply via an online form. The feature has, since then, rollout out to users in the US. What’s interesting is that some users in Europe have started noticing the addition. As originally reported by NotebookCheck, those in Spain, Belgium and Germany, have reported that they can now access this tool.

This new bit in the Zepp Health app comes on top of some recent tweaks that already gave it a cleaner look and better tracking. The app’s definitely been heading in the right direction. That said, it’s not perfect just yet. One thing that still bugs us is the Readiness Score. The data feeding into it is solid, but the final score can feel a bit off at times.
