Huawei Watch 5 leaked renders shows two sizes & fresh strap options
Huawei Watch 5 is slowly taking shape. The first renders have now revealed a lot about what to expect when the new smartwatch drops next month, including its two size options, a wide selection of colors, and refreshed design details. Pricing information has also surfaced.
As detailed by a Lithuanian online retailer, the Watch 5 will come in two sizes, 42mm and 46mm. The device will pack an AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, sapphire glass and decent water resistance.

The circular dial design remains, and the bezels seem reasonably slim. Huawei has also refreshed the controls a little. An accented rotating crown sits on the right side, paired with a physical button underneath. Next to them is an oval-shaped layout with two cutouts.

Colour choices look pretty broad too, with Midnight Black, Jupiter Brown for the larger iteration and Aurora Green, Moon White, Stellar Beige and Dawnlight for the smaller one. Strap options could include steel, silicone, and even a fabric-like material.

One question remains
On the health side, we are expecting the usual suspects like the heart rate monitor, SpO₂, step counter, and calorie tracker. What caught the eye in the teaser is a new sensor that seems to be positioned along the side of the watch case.
The company’s promotional clip features a finger tapping this sensor, followed by floating orbs and the slogan “Tap the Next.” Huawei describes it as bringing the future of digital health to your fingertips, strongly suggesting a new biometric tracking feature.
Perhaps the sensor could be tied to non-invasive blood glucose monitoring, although that remains highly speculative. More realistically, it might handle blood pressure or pulse wave velocity readings. Huawei has dabbled in cuffless blood pressure monitoring with devices like the Watch D, so this would not be completely new territory for them.
Pricing and launch details
The leaked pricing suggests that the Huawei Watch 5 will not come cheap. Expected starting points are EUR 440 and the price goes up from there. As usual, the exact cost will depend on the size, color, and strap combination you choose. So the watch will not come cheap. All of this lines up with Huawei’s past strategy of positioning its flagship wearables as serious alternatives to offerings from Apple and Samsung.
Huawei has already set May 15th in Berlin as the date for its next big wearable reveal. A teaser posted on X hints heavily that the Watch 5 will be the star of the show. An event in Singapore on the 22nd will follow.
