Noise Luna Ring 2 lands in July with design & software upgrades
The Luna Ring 2 is scheduled to arrive in July. Noise has confirmed the release window after first previewing the device at CES 2025, where it picked up a CES Innovation Award.
A few things have changed since Gen 1
The most practical addition is the charging case. It can store up to six full ring charges, extending usability up to 30 days without needing a cable. This makes it more travel-friendly and solves one of the typical pain points of smart rings.
The design also gets a bit more refined. This version is 10 percent slimmer than the original, which wasn’t chunky to begin with. You’ll feel it most during sleep or exercise, where comfort really matters. Internally, it runs on faster hardware too. This should help improve sync speed and general responsiveness.
Noise is also expanding its size options. The new ring will be available in Size 14, which might finally give some users a better fit.

Luna’s “Life OS” is getting a bump alongside the hardware. Noise says it’ll now offer a smoother experience overall. But the more interesting part is that some of the new features will also roll out to Gen 1 users via over-the-air updates.
That includes the new “Caffeine Window” tool, which recommends the best time to have your coffee without messing up your sleep. We’ve seen this on Ultrahuman Ring Air and it is something genuinely useful. More features are coming in future updates too, though we don’t yet know what those will be.

Hardware specs and build
The new ring is still made from titanium, just like the first version. It weighs between 3 and 5 grams depending on the size, and it keeps its 5 ATM water resistance. You get all the usual sensors: heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature, movement and sleep tracking. Battery life is quoted at five days, and a full charge takes just over an hour.
The case itself feels more like a power bank than a dock. It holds 580mAh of charge and is built from a mix of acrylic, ABS plastic, and aluminum alloy. It’s chunky at 46mm wide, but it’s not meant to be pocket-friendly. It’s for travel, not everyday carry.

What to expect in July
What’s clear is that Noise is serious about making Luna Ring a long-term player. The company has already built momentum in India’s smartwatch space, and now it is looking to do the same for smart rings. Between the AI-driven health tips, menstrual tracking and deep sleep metrics, it’s aiming for a broad wellness footprint.
I’ll be testing out the Luna Ring 2.0 when it launches next month. The hardware tweaks look promising, and the added portability from the case might make it more practical day to day. Let’s see if the experience lives up to the spec sheet.
