Amazfit Helio Strap shows up in Zepp app ahead of launch

The regular version of the Amazfit Helio Strap has now appeared inside the Zepp smartphone app. This follows a Walmart listing from a few days ago that confirmed the price and gave us our first look at the non-Hydrox model.

The app update confirms it

Until now, everything official has focused on the Hydrox edition of the Helio Strap. That version debuted at the 2025 World HYROX Championship in Chicago, earlier this month, and was clearly aimed at serious athletes. But there will also be a iteration for the rest of us.

You can now find the standard Helio Strap when you open the Zepp app and go to the device pairing section. There’s a new option listed in the “Band” section – as “The Band has no screen.” If you tap that, it asks you to place the strap on its charger to begin pairing. That kind of prompt doesn’t usually appear unless launch is very near.

The Walmart listing mentioned a $79.99 price, which makes this one of Zepp Health’s most accessible wearables. It also confirms that this is not a screen-based tracker. Instead, it works in tandem with the Zepp app.

From the product images that surfaced, the standard Helio Strap looks fairly low-key. It’s all black, with a simple band and a small sensor module. That could make it easy to wear in training or sleep, without it standing out or becoming distracting.

According to the Walmart product listing, the strap offers a 10-day battery life and support for 27 workout modes. That’s not bad for something that doesn’t have a display. And if the accuracy is solid, it could be a compelling alternative to the Whoop band.

June 24th could be the date

At the HYROX championship event, one of the athletes reportedly mentioned June 24th as the likely release date for the standard version of the Helio Strap. Zepp Health hasn’t confirmed that publicly, but the timing adds up. App integration is usually one of the last steps before a formal announcement.
