Garmin Forerunner 570 & 970 now eligible for discount codes
The Garmin Forerunner 570 and 970 launched in late May. It’s now late July, and some 20 percent discount codes are starting to be accepted on both models.
Garmin typically blocks new releases from working with third-party discounts for a period after launch. Roughly around two months, give or take a few days. That restriction now appears to have lifted for the Forerunner 570 and 970. Users on social media have started reporting today that discount codes from Blue365 and Optimity are working at checkout.
Not all codes are being accepted, but enough are to suggest these models have entered Garmin’s standard discount eligibility window. Some users have shared screenshots confirming the codes are being applied successfully through Garmin’s official website.
How to obtain codes

For example, the Optimity app provides a way to earn Garmin discounts by completing short health-related tasks. It is one of the easiest ways to score a discount. After collecting 5,000 points, you can exchange them for a one-time 20 percent code. Garmin even has an official landing page dedicated to this program.
These codes previously did not work on the latest Forerunners. That has now changed. The app route takes a bit of time, but it’s a legitimate and cost-effective way to save money on newer Garmin devices once they become eligible.
Several users with access to Blue365, the discount portal tied to Blue Cross Blue Shield in the US, have successfully used its Garmin code on the Forerunner 570 and 970. So that’s something else you can use.
As mentioned, not all discount code routes are working yet. But that should change soon.
This update will be welcome news for anyone who had been saving a code and waiting for eligibility to kick in. Garmin does not usually advertise when models become eligible, so this kind of confirmation from other users is often the clearest signal that things have shifted.
