Xiaomi Smart Band 11 gets its global page but one feature is oddly missing

Xiaomi Smart Band 11 has appeared on the company’s global website. Most of what launched in China is still here, but one of the more useful new health features has mysteriously disappeared from the page.

That feature is sleep HRV. Xiaomi made quite a point of it when the Smart Band 11 launched in China, but there is no mention of HRV anywhere on the new global product page. Which is very odd.

Most of the Smart Band 11 makes the trip

Beyond that, this looks very much like the same Smart Band 11 Xiaomi unveiled earlier this month. The global version has the same 1.72-inch AMOLED display, 60Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits, although Xiaomi lists the normal high-brightness mode at 1,500 nits.

The body has slimmed down to 9.99mm, while the regular model weighs just 15.58 grams without the strap. Xiaomi is also bringing over the upgraded dual-LED, dual-PD optical heart-rate module, which the company says improves heart-rate accuracy.

Battery life remains up to 21 days in light use, 10 days with normal use and six days with the always-on display enabled. The battery itself is still 233mAh, so Xiaomi has managed to make the body thinner without cutting the quoted maximum runtime.

There are more than 150 sports modes, Bluetooth heart-rate broadcasting and underwater heart-rate monitoring for swimming. And as shown in my Smart Band 10 review, the heart rate tracking is pretty accurate during exercise.

But where has HRV gone?

This is the odd part. The Chinese Smart Band 11 introduced sleep HRV, giving users another way to follow changes in recovery rather than relying only on heart rate, stress and sleep scores.

The global page instead talks about a new sleep management assistant. Xiaomi says it uses historical sleep data and behavioural information to identify factors that may be helping or hurting sleep quality, with personalised guidance based on those patterns.

But HRV is not mentioned in the health section at all. Xiaomi lists all-day heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and women’s health tracking, yet there is nothing about the sleep HRV feature included with the Chinese model.

That does not necessarily mean HRV has been removed from the international version. It could still be available in Mi Fitness, restricted to certain regions or arrive through a later firmware update. But at the moment Xiaomi’s global material does not confirm it.

HRV is actually one of the biggest upgrades over the previous generation. In my Smart Band 10 review, the lack of HRV was one of its more obvious weaknesses, particularly for anyone interested in recovery rather than basic activity tracking.

NFC is listed globally too

There is another detail worth watching. Xiaomi’s global specifications explicitly list both the Smart Band 11 and Smart Band 11 NFC, alongside the Ceramic Edition.

That is encouraging, but I would not read it as confirmation that NFC payments are coming everywhere. Xiaomi has not said where the NFC version will be sold or which payment services will work outside China, so that part of the picture is still missing.

The All-metal Edition sold in China is also absent from the global specifications for now. The international page only lists the standard aluminium models and the Ceramic Edition.

There is still no global price or proper regional release date either. So this feels more like Xiaomi putting the international Smart Band 11 in place ahead of a wider rollout.
