Peloton adds Garmin support with one way sync
Peloton now works natively with Garmin Connect, but only in one direction. You can sync Garmin workouts to the Peloton app, but not the other way around.
The update is rolling out now. Not all users are seeing it – but some are. It appears to be a server-side update.
If you use both Garmin and Peloton, you’ve probably dealt with the headache of syncing data between the two platforms. Until now, there’s been no direct connection. That meant relying on third-party solutions to keep your stats consistent across platforms. Tools like SyncMyWorkout or Peloton to Garmin (P2G) filled the gap, but they brought another subscription or added layer of complexity into the mix.
The sync experience should finally get easier
That’s now changed and Peloton has built Garmin integration directly into its app. While heart rate broadcasting from a Garmin watch to the Peloton bike has long been possible, syncing the workout data has not. So it’s useful if you want to store your Garmin activities in the Peloton app.
To enable the feature, open the Peloton app, tap You, then the hamburger menu. There you should see Garmin Connect under add-ons.
Once connected, eligible Garmin workouts will be logged inside Peloton. That includes sessions like runs, bike rides and other supported cardio activities. You’ll see them listed in your workout history just like you would with a Peloton class.
No support for syncing Peloton workouts to Garmin
A leak from a few months ago hinted this integration was coming. It actually pointed to a sync where you would be able to have Peloton workouts inside Garmin Connect. Unfortunately that has not panned out, at least not yet.
You still can not sync Peloton to Garmin natively. That means any cycling or treadmill sessions on your Peloton equipment won’t make their way into Garmin Connect automatically. You’ll need to keep using tools like SyncMyWorkout or P2G if you want that level of cross-platform syncing.
Even Garmin’s own documentation continues to refer users to these unofficial services. So for now, Garmin-to-Peloton is native, but Peloton-to-Garmin remains a workaround.

The new link may still be useful depending on where you prefer to view your training data. For users who track outdoor workouts on Garmin and take occasional Peloton classes, having both sets of sessions logged in the Peloton app may be enough.
But if you’re trying to keep your full fitness record inside Garmin Connect, this won’t help. Until the platforms allow true two-way sync, there’s still some friction in managing data between them.
