Apple Watch Series 11 & Ultra 3 expected at 9 September event
Apple’s next hardware event is tipped for Tuesday, 9 September 2025. That’s when we could see the unveiling of the Apple Watch Series 11, Ultra 3 and SE 3, along with the iPhone 17 lineup and new AirPods.
Apple sticks to a familiar schedule
According to a report from iphone-ticker.de, Apple has pencilled in 9 September for its annual fall keynote. The site cites internal information from German mobile carriers. While the source isn’t official, the date fits neatly with Apple’s usual pattern. Most of its September events have taken place on the second Tuesday of the month, and this one falls right into that slot.
Press invites haven’t gone out yet, but they usually land about a week in advance. That means invites should drop around Tuesday, 2 September if the report holds up. And there’s no reason it shouldn’t.
Apple Watch updates expected
For us, the spotlight will once again be on the Apple Watch. The Series 11 is likely to take over from the Series 10, while the Ultra 3 steps in as the successor to 2023’s Ultra 2. That one has seen a two-year gap. The SE range is also due for an update, with the SE 3 expected to arrive after a three-year gap since the last refresh in 2022.
So far, there’s been little concrete detail on what changes the new models will bring. There’s been speculation around health features, like blood pressure or sleep apnea detection, but it’s unclear if those will land this year. What’s more certain is that the Ultra line will remain Apple’s most rugged option, and the SE model will continue to offer a more affordable entry point.
Between the three models, Apple is keeping a clear tiered structure that mirrors what it has done with iPhones.
Other products also on the radar
The Apple Watch won’t be the only device getting time on stage. The iPhone 17 series is expected to debut alongside it, though most of the attention will probably fall on the Pro models. There’s also talk of AirPods Pro 3 making an appearance, possibly with updated sensors for health tracking. That part is still unconfirmed, but it lines up with Apple’s growing interest in wellness tech.
Shipping and pre-orders
If Apple sticks to its usual release calendar, pre-orders would go live on Friday, 12 September. Devices should start arriving in stores a week later, on 19 September. This has been the pattern in most recent years, so unless there’s a production delay, the timeline looks solid.
The only thing we’re waiting on now is the official confirmation. But given the consistency of Apple’s past events, 9 September is looking like a safe bet for this year’s big reveal.
