The first version of the product was made by hand and had a few issues. The team has set their sights higher this time around and teamed up with a high-quality manufacturing partner. What its missing at the moment are sufficient funds to make this project a reality.

The second generation filter is removable, and also offers better protection. This is due to a five layer system that includes a replaceable activated carbon filter for capturing particulates found in air pollution. Activated carbon has an extremely large surface area and contains microporosity making it the perfect solution for capturing small particulates.

The garment has a number of potential uses in addition to protecting you from air pollution. It can come in handy during allergy season, airplane travel, forest fires or to protect from infection during flue season.

The small two-man team is aiming to raise $30,000 via Kickstarter. With two weeks left in the campaign is more than half way to meeting its goal.
