Smartduvet Breeze: self-making bed with dual-zone climate control

It’s often difficult to find time to go to the gym or head out for that early morning run. But what if there was another solution?

Monkii 360 is a device that markets itself as a “science-backed, dynamic resistance trainer that makes you strong and saves you time”. And it’s taken Kickstarter by storm. With 52 days to go, its campaign has raised over half a million dollars or 10 times the initial goal.

The gizmo is designed to provide short, intense workouts and comes complete with a smartphone companion application. Monkii 360 helps you get stronger, lose weight, improve cardio, build core and gain balance.

Simply attach the ball-like device to a door and you’re set to go. There is a range of different bungees available depending on the workout you choose. All the equipment can neatly be stored away inside Monkii. The thing can even act as a foam roller.

By combining full-body compound movements and dynamic resistance, Monkii 360 trains strength, core, and cardio. Its grip has been uniquely designed to activate a wide range of muscles. Based on the Tabata Protocol, users are meant to train in intense 20 second bursts. This is followed by 10 seconds of rest, for 4 minutes.

The accompanying smartphone app shows exactly what needs to be done and guides and proper form. It also comes with programs to take your fitness to the next level.

According to an independent study (Tabata Study: Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise. October, 1996), four minutes of Tabata training is as efficient as an hour long run. Monkii 360 pushes you to train at levels up to 170% of your VO2 max, hence its effectiveness.

Prices start at $149. This gets you a Monkii 360, the DynaForce Bungee, the Monkii app, and access to the 21 Day Habit Program and 36 Day Commitment Program. The estimated delivery date is next Spring.
