Polar Grit X2 Pro delivery delayed: Here’s what we know
Fans of the company’s rugged outdoor sports watches were excited when the Grit X2 Pro, announced by Polar in late March, promised some exciting upgrades over its predecessor. In fact, Polar dubs it as “the highest quality watch in its portfolio.” But eager customers who were expecting to get their devices today have a bit longer to wait. Polar has sent out notifications informing of a shipment delay.
The reason behind the postponement
In an email to customers who pre-ordered the Grit X2 Pro, Polar has apologized for the delay, citing ongoing firmware finalization. The company assures customers that they want to deliver the best possible experience. Which suggests they are making last minute changes to device’s software so that it’s polished and functions flawlessly after release.
Currently, Polar estimates that shipping will begin towards the end of next week, between the 8th and 12th of April. Assuming no further delays – of course.
Polar Grit X2 Pro: A notable upgrade
Both the Polar Grit X2 Pro and Grit X Pro are exceptional sports watches for serious athletes and outdoor enthusiasts. The Grit X2 Pro pulls ahead with cutting-edge health sensors, offline maps, dual-band satellite connectivity, premium materials, a vibrant AMOLED display, and slightly longer battery life. Think of it as a more rugged version of the Vantage V3. However, all of this comes at a significantly higher price.

Delays happen, and that’s okay
While a delay is never ideal, it’s definitely not a catastrophe. We wouldn’t read too much into it. In fact, it’s quite common for companies, especially in the tech world, to encounter unexpected roadblocks during product finalisation.
It’s likely that Polar discovered some bugs that needed squashing or issues within the Grit X2 Pro’s firmware. While a delay is inconvenient, it’s far better than releasing a product with known issues that would frustrate users.
