Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro makes its way to UK and Japan markets
Xiaomi has begun rolling out its Smart Band 9 Pro to international markets, marking its first expansion beyond China since its initial launch in October. The fitness tracker is now available in the United Kingdom at £62.99, with an introductory £5 discount, and in Japan at ¥9,280. However, the device remains unavailable in major European markets including Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands, as well as the United States.
The Smart Band 9 Pro builds upon its predecessor’s foundation with several notable improvements. The device retains the familiar 1.74-inch AMOLED display but doubles the peak brightness to 1200 nits, enhancing outdoor visibility. The aluminum case, available in black, gold, and pink, maintains a lightweight profile at 24.5 grams.

Battery performance has seen substantial improvement, with Xiaomi claiming up to 21 days of use on a single charge – a week longer than the previous model. However, users should expect significantly reduced battery life when utilizing features such as the always-on display and GPS tracking.
The fitness tracking capabilities remain comprehensive, offering over 150 sports modes and built-in satellite functionality. Xiaomi reports enhanced accuracy in both sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring. While NFC functionality for contactless payments is included, this feature may be limited to the Chinese market.
The device comes with various band options, including sports and leather variants, with a Milanese loop available as a separate purchase. The Smart Band 9 Pro maintains 5ATM water resistance, making it suitable for swimming and other water-based activities.
This international release maintains competitive pricing compared to the Chinese market, where the device launched at 399 yuan (approximately €50) for the sports band version and 449 yuan (around €60) for the leather variant. We expect European availability to follow in the weeks to come while US availability is unlikely considering its other smartwatches and fitness bands are not available through official channels in the country.
