Zepp Health introduces new AI powered food log in Beta

Zepp Health continues to expand its health tracking capabilities with a new AI-powered food logging feature currently in beta testing. While we haven’t personally tested the feature, users across various Amazfit Facebook groups have been sharing their experiences and screenshots, offering insights into this upcoming addition.

Designed for the Amazfit ecosystem, the new food logging system simplifies meal tracking through AI technology. Users can simply take a photo of their meal, and the app automatically analyzes the image to calculate key nutritional components including calories, carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. For those who prefer more precise control, the system allows manual adjustments to both macronutrient values and specific recipe ingredients.

Early user feedback from beta testers has been encouraging. Many are praising the system’s accuracy and ease of use.

Unclear release timeline

The timeline for a wider release remains unclear, as Zepp Health continues to gather feedback and refine the feature through its beta program. Users interested in joining the beta test can apply through an online form, provided they are running Zepp app version 9.0.5 or newer. This is the link.

This addition to the Zepp Health app builds upon recent updates that have brought a cleaner interface and enhanced tracking metrics. The app’s fresh design emphasizes user experience while maintaining access to existing features, though with modified layouts. The new Exertion metric, which primarily uses heart rate data to track daily energy expenditure, complements the app’s growing suite of health monitoring tools.
