One UI 6 rollout begins today for Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 users

As expected, the stable public release of One UI 6 Watch has started rolling out today. Galaxy Watch 6 users in the US and some other regions have already installed the update. The rollout is gradual so it has not reached all users in all regions just yet.

It was initially thought November 12 would be the rollout date. But there appears to have been a delay. This update builds upon the foundation already present in the Galaxy Watch 7 series, which shipped with Wear OS 5 pre-installed.

The company wrapped up its beta program about a month ago, which had expanded beyond its initial Galaxy Watch 6 focus to include testing on older watch models including Watch 5 and 4 series devices. Users who participated in the beta program have transitioned earlier to what has effectively become the public release version, having helped refine the software through extensive testing since the program’s launch this summer.

Unfortunately, the public rollout beginning today is only for Galaxy Watch 6 users. Those with Watch 5 and 4 will need to be patient as the software for their devices has not been finalised. No word on when this might happen. Presumably, the wait should not be too long.
