Pixel Watch 4 leaked renders reveal thicker design likely for larger battery
Leaked renders of the upcoming Pixel Watch 4 show a thicker design, possibly to accommodate a bigger battery. Google may also be ditching the charging pins in favour of a contactless system.
According to the pics (via 91mobiles x @OnLeaks), the circular shape and domed glass are still here. Google clearly likes this approach and doesn’t seem in a hurry to rethink it. It’s not the slimmest watch out there, but it wears well, and most people will find it comfortable enough. But it’s clear there are no drastic changes in the design department in 2025.
At first glance, the display looks similar to earlier models. But on closer inspection, the bezel might be slightly smaller. That said, it still leaves a fair bit of dead space around the screen. If you were hoping for a sleek, edge-to-edge look, this may not hit the mark.

Battery might be the big upgrade
The one real change that jumps out is the thickness. This version is chunkier than its predecessors at 14.3mm. That sounds like a lot, and it is, but the added size could be hiding something useful. The working theory is a bigger battery. And if that means more than a single day’s use, it’s worth the extra heft.

No solid info yet on whether multiple sizes will be available. So far the leaked renders don’t confirm anything on that front.
Charging may finally get better
Flip the watch over and the charging pins are gone. That could mean Google is switching to contactless charging. Maybe it’s Qi, maybe it’s just a cleaner magnetic system without the pins. Either way, it’s probably an improvement. If it supports reverse wireless charging from Pixel phones, even better. But we’ll have to wait and see.

The sensor layout underneath looks mostly unchanged, though there appear to be some slight adjustments. Two new bumpers sit next to the speaker grill. Their purpose is a mystery for now. They might be hardware buttons. They might be padding for structural support. Or they could tie into health tracking features . The placement is a bit odd for that, though, so nothing is confirmed yet.
People still want the same core upgrades. Better battery life is top of most people’s wish lists. Smoother music download support. Proper wireless charging. Multi-band GPS. And yes, a thinner bezel wouldn’t hurt. The Pixel Watch lineup has always shown promise, but it often feels like it’s just shy of nailing it. Maybe this version finally gets it right.
