Garmin Forerunner 570 surfaces amid 270 & 970 rumours, first image
Garmin is gearing up for a major refresh of its running watch lineup. Among the expected releases is a Forerunner 570, now confirmed by an early image leak.
A surprise entry in Garmin’s 2025 plans
Until now, attention had been focused on a handful of expected updates. The Forerunner 270 and 275 have both been circulating in rumours, and many (including us) assumed the next premium model would be the 970 or its AMOLED sibling, the 975.
As originally reported by FitnessTrackerTest, it turns out there’s another watch in the mix. This is the first mention of a Forerunner 570.
No sources have been officially listed, but we got our hands on an image of the device that confirms it is real. Based on that and leaked specs, it looks like the 570 will target runners with an emphasis on AMOLED visuals, smart features, and deeper training tools.

AMOLED display and two sizes
Like several other recent Garmin releases, the 570 will apparently come in two sizes. A 42 mm version with a 1.2-inch display and a larger 47 mm model with a 1.4-inch screen. Both are expected to use AMOLED displays, placing them closer to the Forerunner 965 in screen quality.

At first glance, the design is similar to the Forerunner 265, although the top right button goes back to a circular shape rather than the newer oval look. It sticks with Garmin’s tried-and-tested five-button setup, and both models use aluminium bezels and a polymer case.
A step up from the 265, but not quite a 965
It’s clear from the leaked specifications that the 570 is being positioned between the 265 and the 965. You’re getting a lot of what makes the 965 attractive, without going all in. For example, storage is limited to 8 GB, the same as the 265, and less than the 965’s 32 GB. So there’s room for offline maps and music, just not in large volumes.
Battery life is a notch below the other two watches. The 42 mm version should manage around 10 days in smartwatch mode, while the 47 mm version is listed at 11 days. GPS tracking clocks in at 18 hours, and multi-band support drops that to 13 or 14 hours, depending on the model. That’s fine for most runners, but less ideal if you’re training for ultras.
Feature-rich with a clear running focus
The 570 appears to inherit several of the newer features introduced on higher-end Garmin devices. These include Body Temperature tracking, Bluetooth Calling, Voice Control, and the Good Night Report. It also marks the debut of Garmin Triathlon Coach, which could hint at its multi-sport aspirations.
Alongside those are many familiar training and navigation tools. You get Climb Pro, Endurance Score, Recovery Time, heat and altitude acclimatisation, and support for Garmin and Strava Live Segments. There’s also offline mapping, Around Me mode, and Trendline Popularity Routing.
What it doesn’t include is ECG. The watch is still using Garmin’s Elevate V4 sensor, which means heart rate tracking should be reliable, but no major health additions have been included this time around.

Price and colours suggest a launch is close
With colours already listed and prices floated, a launch likely isn’t far off. Colours include standard black and white in both sizes, with mango and violet options also appearing. If the €549 price tag holds, it will not be cheap. In fact that sort of price-tag puts the 570 just below the 965. Perhaps an early-effect of the tarrif war.
Of course none of this has been confirmed by Garmin. But the addition of the leaked image adds credence to the rumour.
All of this adds another layer to what’s shaping up to be a crowded Forerunner lineup. If the 270, 275, 570, 970, and 975 all land in the coming months, Garmin fans are going to have some interesting decisions to make.

Hi Ivan,
I am sorry to doubt you, but the heart rate sensor on the 570’s seems V5, not V4, but then without the metal parts for ECG. I noticed this because I wanted it like this.
What do you think when checking out the back side photos on garmin.com?
Thanks, Fer
It’s possible. I’ll amend when its confirmed.
