Garmin, Fitbit & more on Amazon Prime July 8 to 11

Amazon Prime Day is set for July 8 to 11. Mark these dates in your calendar folks, if you’re looking to upgrade your wearable tech. It’s one of the few events that’s actually worth prepping for.

Garmin, Fitbit, Amazfit, Apple, Samsung and Huawei usually show up in some form. The deals won’t be across the board, but if you’re after something specific, it makes sense to keep a close eye.

Prime Day is better if you come in with a plan

Wandering through pages of deals once Prime Day begins is a good way to waste time. Or worse, buy something random. The smarter move is to start thinking ahead. Make a shortlist of what you are after. Amazon usually starts dropping hints in the days leading up to the event. A few offers will go live early, but others land on the day itself and sell out quickly.

To access any of this, you’ll need an Amazon Prime membership. But there’s a workaround. First-time users can start a 30-day free trial. That gives you access to everything. If you’re not interested in keeping the subscription, just cancel before it ends. Nothing to lose there. As long as you don’t forget to cancel!

What kind of wearable deals to expect

Garmin typically discounts older gear. Watches launched in the same year rarely drop much, but last year’s models often see meaningful price cuts. Fitbit works the same way. Sense 2 and Versa 4 usually get pushed lower. The Inspire line sometimes hits bargain-bin levels.

Zepp Health tends to go further. If there’s a brand that leans into Prime Day, it’s them. The Active and Balance series may see big drops. Samsung sometimes uses Prime Day to clear space before new releases. So expect to see some good deals there. Huawei watches are hit or miss, but if they show up, the discounts are often deep.

Apple is harder to predict. If you’re lucky, you might see a bit of a dip in its smartwatch range. But don’t expect miracles.

Accessories are also worth watching. Extra bands, chargers and bundles can offer more value than buying pieces separately.

Think now, buy later

The real edge with Prime Day isn’t in rushing. It’s knowing what you want and being ready when it drops. If you’ve been meaning to get a new wearable, or even your first one, this is the time of year when prices actually move.
