Amazfit Balance 2 XT model confirmed via EMVCo
Amazfit Balance 2 just made its international debut last week, but that is not the whole story. A second model, the Balance 2 XT, is now confirmed via EMVCo filings.
XT version brings Titanium build and NFC support
We first wrote about the XT name about a month ago, before the Balance 2 had launched globally. Reportedly, this is the titanium version of the regular iteration. Then came the international unveiling about a week ago, with no mention of the XT variant. That made it feel like the XT might have been shelved or delayed. But now it’s back on the radar, thanks to an EMVCo certification.
That certification popped up with model number A2546 and includes details like the operating system (Zepp OS version 4.0 – although this will likely be 5.0 by the time of actual launch) and the fact that NFC is onboard. To remind, EMVCo is a global body that manages standards for secure payment transactions. It’s backed by major payment networks and its certifications often relate to technologies like NFC used in contactless payments.
The filing was approved on June 3rd and remains valid for the next three years. So it’s not a prototype or some region-specific side project. This looks like a finished product getting final approvals ahead of launch.

The titanium part hasn’t been officially listed in the certification, but we’ve seen enough to believe this will be a premium spin on the Balance 2. Zepp Health has done similar things before. It often rolls out higher-end models later in the cycle. Apparently, there may also be a Balance 2 Runner. But there’s no regulatory info on that one, for now.

Still no release date, but clues are stacking up
The timing is interesting. The standard Balance 2 is still fresh in the global market, which suggests XT might follow soon. The EMVCo listing makes it clear that it’s real, and that it’s ready.
We still haven’t seen any images of the XT, and there’s no word on pricing yet. But if this is the Titanium edition, it’ll likely cost a bit more than the standard Balance 2.
Most of the core specs should carry over. That includes the rugged design with sapphire glass, 10 ATM water resistance and the full set of military-grade certifications. Inside, it runs on the new Huangshan 3 chip, with improved heart rate tracking, more storage and longer battery life. Zepp has also layered in a few extras on the software side, like a jet lag app, golf mode and a magnifier that lets you zoom into the display.

Saw it – doesn’t look to be correct – apart from the name of the watch. The specs are of Balance 2.
