Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro June update adds smarter route tools for runners

Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro is getting software version 3.13.0.2, with a June 4 release date and a clear focus on outdoor running. The update adds out-and-back route planning, in-workout POI search, one-tap return to start and a refreshed lactate threshold algorithm.

Navigation gets the biggest upgrade

Let’s start with out-and-back route planning. This lets users create custom running routes by distance, which should make the watch more useful when training away from familiar roads or when you want a set distance without building a full route in advance.

One-Tap Return to Start also arrives with this update. The watch can auto-plan a return route, giving runners a simpler way back when exploring unfamiliar areas, city streets or trail routes.

In-workout POI search has been added. That means users can look for supply and rest spots during a session.

Zepp Health says it has also improved navigation vibration and voice alerts. The aim is to make turn and distance prompts clearer, so runners can understand what the watch is telling them without constantly looking down at the screen.

Flashlight use now feeds into battery management

We all know the LED flashlight is incredibly useful. The Cheetah 2 Pro now has a new flashlight tracking in Battery Manager. Which means the device can track flashlight usage duration, helping you understand how much power the light is taking during night or early morning runs.

Training tools get some attention

The lactate threshold function and algorithm have been enhanced. Zepp Health says the underlying calculation logic has been refreshed, with calibrated lactate threshold data then taking effect across the system.

Pickleball 2.0 has also been added as a new sport mode. It sits slightly outside the main running theme, but it broadens the watch’s sports profile and gives casual court-sport users a more specific tracking option.

The update also changes the workout screen layout. Zepp Health says the redesigned in-workout data interface should make key metrics easier to read during faster movement, which is important on a running watch with a performance focus.

Launcher 2.0 interactions have also been refined, including the control centre, display behaviour and transition animations. Screen visibility and shortcut controls have been improved as well, with Zepp Health specifically mentioning readability under strong sunlight.

The music experience gets a change too. The music card now includes quick entrances for third-party music apps, making it easier to switch between platforms and tracks before or during training.
