Gear Sport offers a blend of fitness tracking and smartwatch functionality in one slim package. We caught a glimpse of it at IFA in Berlin and walked away suitably impressed.

In terms of design, the Tizen-based device doesn’t disappoint. It has a full colour, always-on, 1.2-inch circular screen with a 320 x 320 resolution that is very vibrant and colorful.

Under the water-resistant hood you will find quite a bit going on. There is an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, heart rate sensor, ambient light and built-in GPS. And lets not forget support for NFC payments and the ability to download music and store it directly on your watch.

The IconX 2018 are Samsung’s answer to Apple’s AirPods. They let you listen to music by streaming from your phone or via the 4 GB (per earbud) built-in storage for offline playback. For fitness buffs, the buds track your running routines. They also feature a standalone audio Coach function which will let you know in real-time how you are doing.
