Amazfit Watch app 3.0.0 brings fresh design & workout recording feature

The Amazfit Watch app has just been updated to its 3rd iteration. This is the first major update in around a year. Version 3.0.0 comes with a new look and functionality, along with a workout recording feature that works directly from the app.

Following on from the launch of a few Amazfit products (with more to come), the app has been expanded to play nice with the new Amazfit Smartwatch 2 (Amazfit Verge 2). This is in addition to Amazfit Bip, Bip Lite, Verge Lite, Cor, Cor2, Smartwatch (Verge), Stratos, Pace and more.

Huami has put in effort to make the life of app users easier. The new UI/UX design is simpler to use and metrics now come with clearer explanations. The workout results page has also been revamped and now offers more comprehensive data and analysis. The screenshots above show how everything looks.

The only other change worth mentioning is the new workout recording feature. This will allow you to start recording an exercise (such as walking, cycling, running and more), directly through the app.

Amazfit has been in the news quite a bit over the past month. Verge 2 landed on June 11th along with the Amazfit Health Watch. A few days prior, Huami launched the Amazfit Verge Lite and Amazfit Bip Lite.

Huami has also teased a smartwatch called Amazfit GTR. It is expected to come on July 16th packing 24 days battery life, and a choice between stainless steel, titanium and aluminum casing. Soon after we are expecting Amazfit Bip 2.

There is nothing good about this update! I want the old app, info, and how it use to interface with the data back. I can no longer roll my finger back and forth across my step count in the day breaking down how many steps I took every 10 minute period. And the breakdown of constant heart rate monitoring that use to be the same is as the steps to see how it fluctuated during the day is completely gone and no longer accessible. So sad…

yes, that’s very true. After updating the apps, no more push notifications to the watch anymore. Please fix it!
