Amazfit Cheetah Pro gets smarter with upgraded workouts & sleep tracking
Firmware update 2.5.7.1 for Amazfit Cheetah Pro is rolling out now. It focuses on workouts, sleep tracking, and some day-to-day usability improvements.
New physical activities get top billing. Indoor rock climbing, bouldering, and snow shoveling are now part of the extensive workout list. The padel sport mode has also been expanded and now includes swing, forehand, and backhand counts. Skiing mode gets a backend tweak as well, with better accuracy while you’re on the lift.
Track runners will appreciate the ability to select specific lanes when using the Track Run mode. It’s a small detail that reflects better accuracy in pacing and distance. You’ll find it buried under the usual Track Run settings menu, but it’s there if you want that extra level of control.
Sleep tracking is probably the most significant upgrade under the hood. The sleep algorithm has been entirely reworked. Accuracy around sleep stages should be noticeably better now, though it may take a few nights to feel the difference.
Zepp Coach continues to evolve, now offering improved navigation and more pre-workout configuration options. Interactions before a session have been smoothed out. The updates here seem to target friction points—less about adding new things.
A more noticeable change is the overhaul of the notification system. The layout, style, and overall readability have been updated. Messages like Morning Briefing now open into more digestible formats, which could make a difference for users who rely on the watch for day-start summaries or message previews.

Charging also sees an adjustment. Once your Cheetah Pro hits full battery, the updated animation and automatic reminder now let you know it’s ready to go.
The safety lights experience has been improved too, mostly from a usability angle. Nothing drastic, but better control during workouts is never a bad thing. Navigation gets a more touch-friendly preview screen, with easier ways to zoom, pan, and adjust map styles. You’ll have to dig through the swipe gestures to find it, but the idea is to give you a clearer idea of your route before heading out.
And of course, no update would be complete without the usual round of bug fixes and behind-the-scenes polishing.
