Amazfit Bip 6 brings a bigger display & smart features to the budget lineup

Zepp Health pulled the curtain back on the Amazfit Bip 6, a budget-friendly smartwatch that’s stepping things up with a bigger AMOLED display, smarter fitness tracking, and AI-powered coaching. Teased alongside the European release of the Amazfit Active 2, the Bip 6 brings some solid upgrades while still keeping things lightweight and affordable—though Zepp Health is keeping the price under wraps for now.

Bigger screen, better build

The most obvious upgrade? The Bip 6 now has a 1.97-inch AMOLED display, making everything look sharper, brighter, and easier to read. If you’ve used the Bip 5, you’ll remember its 1.91 inch TFT-LD display wasn’t bad. But it didn’t have that deep contrast or colour pop you get with AMOLED. This is a nice step up, especially if you check your watch a lot in bright daylight.

The design has also had a bit of a glow-up. The case is now aluminium alloy, giving it a more premium feel while keeping it lightweight. Plus, with 5 ATM water resistance, it’ll handle sweat, rain, and even a quick dip in the pool without any drama.

Smarter health and fitness tracking

Amazfit has packed in a bunch of new fitness and health features, powered by their upgraded BioTracker dual-light 5PD heart rate sensor. Heart rate, blood oxygen, stress tracking, HRV—it’s all here, and supposedly more accurate than before. Sleep tracking is also getting a boost, helping you figure out why you feel like a zombie in the morning.

Fitness-wise, the Bip 6 has over 140 workout modes, covering everything from running and cycling to the increasingly popular HYROX Race. Strength training gets a smart update too, automatically recognizing muscle exercises and grouping them together for better insights. And if you’re into exploring, the offline navigation feature with round-trip routing could be useful for runners and cyclists who like to go off the beaten path.

Battery that lasts and everyday extras

Battery life is always a strong point with Amazfit watches, and the Bip 6 sticks to that formula—up to two weeks on a single charge. That’s the kind of longevity you don’t get with most smartwatches, and it means less time worrying about finding a charger.

On the everyday side, you’ll get all the usual smartwatch perks—notifications for calls, texts, social media updates, and calendar reminders. Bluetooth calling is in the mix, so you can make and answer calls directly from your wrist (as long as your phone is nearby). iPhone users also get a nice little bonus: remote camera controls, perfect for snapping photos without awkward arm angles.

Zepp Flow is also here, which means you can control your watch with voice commands instead of tapping through menus. It’s meant to make things more intuitive, letting you adjust settings or check stats just by talking to your watch.

That’s all the info we have for now. You can see a couple of images from the Madrid event in this article.

So when can you get it?

Zepp Health hasn’t given an exact release date yet, but the Bip 6 is expected to hit European markets “soon”. As for the price, they’re keeping that a mystery for now, but if it’s anything like the Bip 5, it should be a solid option for anyone looking for a well-rounded smartwatch that won’t break the bank.
