Same day journaling arrives on Whoop

Whoop just made journaling way more flexible. With same day journaling, you can now log behaviors anytime during the day and even edit past entries whenever you need to.

Whoop has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to tracking how your habits affect your health. Its journaling feature is one of the most powerful tools available, helping you figure out how factors like caffeine, alcohol, stress, and workouts impact your sleep and recovery. And Whoop helps you see how all these details connect to your overall performance. No other wearable does journaling like this, giving you real insights you can actually use.

A shift from morning-only journaling

I noticed the new feature in my Android phone Whoop app earlier today. So it rolling out. If it has not reached you yet, you might want to try checking if your app is up to date.

Before this update, journaling on Whoop was a morning thing. You’d wake up, check your sleep stats, and then log everything from the day before. It worked fine, but it wasn’t exactly convenient. What if you wanted to note something right after it happened, like a tough workout or a random snack? You had to wait until the next morning, and by then, you might’ve forgotten.

Now, that’s all changed. With same day journaling, you can log stuff throughout the day as it happens. Grab a drink with friends after work? Log it. Feeling extra stressed after lunch? Add it right then and there. It’s super simple and way more practical than trying to remember everything later.

Another cool tweak is that you can now go back and edit older entries. Missed logging something yesterday? Realized you forgot an extra cup of coffee from last week? No big deal. Just tap on My Journal “Edit” and use the back arrow to scroll through past entries and make updates. It’s an easy way to keep everything accurate without stressing about forgetting details.

Our thoughts

This update makes journaling on Whoop feel way more natural. You’re not stuck cramming everything into a morning routine anymore, and you’re way less likely to forget the little things. Being able to go back and fix entries means you can keep a complete record, which makes the insights Whoop gives you even more valuable.

Whoop is a one of a kind wearable. It is not a smartwatch, it is not a fitness band – but many professional athletes use it for a reason. Check out my full review of the device to see if it is right for you.
