SIRIM listing hints at upcoming Amazfit launch in coming weeks

We spotted a new Amazfit watch on the SIRIM regulatory database. It goes by the model number 2549 and was registered on October 8th, suggesting that Zepp Health is not done with its 2025 product cycle just yet.

The timing lines up with what we saw earlier in the year. The T-Rex 3 Pro, for instance, appeared on SIRIM on August 18th and launched roughly three weeks later. If that pattern holds, the 2549 could break cover before the end of October or in early November. That would place it just ahead of the key holiday shopping period, which typically kicks off around mid-November.

Performance line looks due for an update

So far this year, Zepp Health has refreshed three of its four major product lines. The Lifestyle category received the Amazfit Active 2 and Balance 2. The Essential series saw the arrival of the Bip 6. The Adventure segment followed with the launch of the T-Rex 3 Pro in early September.

Which leaves the Performance line.

That includes the Amazfit Cheetah and Falcon, both of which have been dormant in 2025. With the 2549 now showing up on SIRIM, there’s a reasonable chance we could be looking at a successor to one of those devices. A device in the Cheetah range or a new Falcon would fit the company’s stated goal of updating all major product lines this year. Both of these devices are well due for an upgrade.

Mind you, this isn’t just speculation. Zepp Health’s management said during their Q1 2025 earnings call that “many exciting products” were on the way. They added that these would span all major product lines. So far, that has been accurate. The only gap now sits with the Performance tier.

Timing matches the company’s broader push

It’s also worth noting that Zepp Health has been fairly aggressive this year. The company is coming off a period of stagnation, and 2025 has marked a clear return to launch activity. Alongside the hardware, there’s been more focus on AI-powered features, food recognition via OpenAI and Gemini, and an expansion into athletic partnerships.

Recent sponsorships with Olympic sprinter Gabby Thomas and tennis star Jasmine Paolini, who won the Rome Open while wearing the Amazfit Active 2, show that Zepp is investing in brand visibility again. The launch of the 2549 model would continue that momentum into Q4.

There’s also a logistical consideration. Global supply chains have started to stabilise, and Zepp Health’s dual-sourcing strategy between China and Vietnam seems to be holding up. The delayed release of the Active 2 Premium earlier in the year was an exception, not the rule. If this new device is already in SIRIM, mass production is likely either under way or imminent.

What to expect next

Nothing about the 2549 code confirms which product line it belongs to. Also, there are no filings under that moniker with other regulatory agencies. But with the Lifestyle, Adventure and Essential lines already covered, the odds point to the possibility of a new Performance watch. A launch in late October or early November would round off nicely Zepp Health’s 2025 lineup refresh.

We’ll be keeping an eye on additional certifications, particularly in Europe and the US. FCC or IMDA listings would help narrow down features and release timing. If the company sticks to form, we should start seeing teasers soon.
