Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro firmware adds smarter workouts and UI tweaks
A new firmware update is now rolling out for the Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro, bringing tweaks to Zepp Coach, improved route creation in the Terrain Map app, and better ascent tracking for outdoor cycling. It also introduces UI changes like battery percentage in workouts, image enlargement in notifications, and adds haptic feedback during screen unlocks.
Zepp Coach now handles workouts more intelligently
A couple of additions stand out immediately. Zepp Coach will now check the battery level before a session and alert you if the watch might run out of power mid-activity. If you choose to go ahead anyway and the battery dies before completion, the data will still be saved up to the point it shuts off.
Zepp Coach also received a logic tweak to its training plans. Faster-paced walks will now be classified as runs. This removes the need to manually change the workout type if your walking pace crosses into light jogging territory. Useful for those who bounce between brisk walking and easy running in the same session.
Small UI and feedback changes
The Workout app now displays the battery percentage in real time. That makes it easier to track power consumption while training without jumping back to other screens.
There’s also a small update in the Notification Center. You can now tap on images to enlarge them, although this particular feature is limited to Android pairings only. Another tweak brings haptic feedback after unlocking the screen during a workout.
Map routing and altitude fixes
Those using the Terrain Map feature will be pleased with improved route generation. Speed and stability have both been addressed, so planning your path should feel less sluggish and prone to error.
On the cycling side, the altitude algorithm has been optimised to give more accurate ascent tracking. This should clean up elevation data on rides, particularly in hilly environments.
Lastly, a bug in the Weather app has been resolved. It previously caused issues during Daylight Saving Time transitions. That should no longer be a problem.
The update is currently in rollout. If it hasn’t hit your device yet, it likely will soon. Make sure your T-Rex 3 Pro is sufficiently charged and keep the Zepp Health app running in the foreground during the install.
