More evidence Zepp Pay might finally be landing in the US

The latest update to the Zepp Health smartphone app (now version 9.15.1) continues to reinforce signs that Zepp Pay is slated for a US rollout. Hidden in the app’s internal resources are multiple new references that point to active development, including updated country support listings and bank linkage.

The first hint appeared in version 9.14.2, when the United States was added to Zepp Pay’s supported region list. That’s now confirmed again in version 9.15.1, which contains the internal string:

Zepp Pay is supported in the United States

This matches the format used for other live Zepp Pay regions like Germany and Italy, suggesting the US is being actively wired in, even if the feature isn’t visible to users yet.

As reported a few weeks ago, tapping into the Zepp Pay section now reveals the United States as an available region, with The Bancorp Bank National Association listed as the associated financial institution.

That bank is often used as a backend provider for fintech services and prepaid card platforms. So its presence likely means Zepp Health has struck a new partnership to bring its contactless payment system to the US market.

Zepp Pay US support

Zepp Pay has been absent from US watches

Until now, Zepp Pay has remained limited to select markets in Europe and Asia. Watches like the Amazfit Balance and GTR 4 technically support NFC payments, but users in the US have never had access to activate the feature. That has been a sore spot for some owners, especially considering competing brands like Garmin and Fitbit have had contactless support available in the region for years.

Now, with version 9.15.1, additional code reinforces US support. The country is clearly flagged as supported in the Zepp Pay region list, and new internal strings reference onboarding language, setup screens, and eligibility flows for US-based users. These additions indicate that the feature is progressing beyond background testing.

Still limited in scope but a clear step

At this stage, there’s only one listed institution. That means full rollout is still pending. However, if Zepp Health follows the same playbook as in Europe, we may see an initial launch focused on virtual cards or prepaid solutions before wider integration with debit and credit providers.

There’s still no confirmation on whether existing Amazfit hardware will be compatible or if new firmware will be required to unlock NFC in the US. In some markets, payments have been tied to regional firmware variants or regulatory gating.

Zepp Health has yet to make an official announcement. But with live code in 9.15.1 and support for a US bank already listed, the pieces are lining up. Whether this is a controlled soft launch or a staging rollout, it marks the clearest sign yet that Zepp Pay is getting ready for the US market.
