BioCharge now showing up on all Amazfit Active 2 models

Firmware 6.9.0.1 for the Amazfit Active 2 is now live and finally brings BioCharge to all units, including those with only 32MB of PSRAM. The update also includes a few system tweaks and usability fixes that smooth out daily use.

BioCharge now works on 32MB units too

Earlier batches of the Active 2 shipped with 32MB of PSRAM, and until now, those models hadn’t received the BioCharge feature. The later units had received the feature a month or two ago.

That gap appears to have been closed. With the latest firmware, BioCharge is showing up regardless of memory configuration, replacing the older Readiness Score and bringing a more nuanced take on recovery and energy levels.

The feature behaves as expected. It updates in the morning, presents a score, and adds short context messages that pull from sleep, activity and heart rate data. This change brings all versions of the watch in line with Zepp Health’s broader direction, where BioCharge has become the standard across new releases.

A few other changes

Sleep tracking has been adjusted. The sleep score now responds slightly differently to wake-ups and short interruptions. It’s not a major rewrite, but some users will notice cleaner charts.

The weather card now loads more reliably. Forecast data is refreshing properly and no longer sticks on outdated values. There’s also a new version of the brightness icon in the Control Center, along with a tweak that brings you back to the watch face when you clear notifications.

Workout voice prompts have been updated. They should sound sharper, and timing during activities should feel slightly improved.

No more feature gaps

This update finishes what should have happened at launch. BioCharge now works for everyone, regardless of which version of the watch they bought. That means no more guessing, no more waiting, and no more hardware workarounds.

If you haven’t installed it yet, check for the update under Settings. It’s under 10MB and doesn’t require a reset. Just a straightforward step forward.

Seems like a totally useless metric.
