Amazfit Bip 6 finally gets BioCharge update

The Amazfit Bip 6 is now receiving software version 3.10.0.1, a 9MB update that replaces the Readiness score with BioCharge. A similar upgrade landed on the Amazfit Active 2 a few days ago, and it is now rolling out to Bip 6 owners.

The software refresh marks the end of a slightly messy rollout that started with Active 2 and left Bip 6 users waiting. For many, this is the first time BioCharge appears on their watch despite earlier promises and partial deployments. In fact, the company had put on hold for most users the rollout from about a month ago due to issues with the software.

BioCharge finally lands on Bip 6

To remind, BioCharge replaces the existing Readiness feature. It aims to give a clearer picture of daily energy levels by combining sleep quality, activity load, and recovery trends into a single score.

Reddit users are already confirming that the feature is live after installing version 3.10.0.1. At least in the United States. The update screen explicitly calls out the Readiness to BioCharge switch, which suggests this is not a silent backend change but a proper firmware-level upgrade.

This matters because earlier updates caused confusion. Some watches showed traces of BioCharge in the app or release notes, while the actual feature never appeared on the device. This new build appears to be the clean handover.

For Bip 6 owners who felt left behind, this update closes that gap. Couldn’t have come too soon.

More than just BioCharge

The update is not limited to energy tracking. It also refreshes workout voice prompts, improves weather data refresh logic and tweaks the sleep score algorithm. There are also small usability changes, like returning to the watch face after clearing notifications and minor Control Center visual adjustments.

These are incremental changes, but they add up. On a budget-focused watch like the Bip 6, small refinements can have a noticeable impact on daily use, especially around sleep tracking and basic navigation.

System stability fixes are also included, which should help smooth out some of the rough edges users reported after earlier firmware builds.

A rollout worth watching

As with most Zepp Health updates, and there’ve been quite a few in the past couple of months, availability may vary by region and device batch. Some users may see the update immediately, others might need to wait a little longer.

Still, the important part is that BioCharge is now clearly part of the Bip 6 feature set, not just something hinted at in patch notes. After weeks of mixed messaging, this update brings clarity.
