Circul Ring 2 Max teased with pre-orders coming soon
Circul Ring 2 Max is on the way, with pre-orders expected to open soon. The company has started teasing the next-gen wearable, but details are still light beyond the name and a vague image.
A second-generation Circul smart ring is coming
Circul is getting ready to launch a follow-up to its original smart ring, a device that flew under the radar last year but quietly gathered a base of early adopters. The new model will be called Circul Ring 2 Max, and while there’s no official feature list yet, pre-orders are expected to go live in the next few weeks.
The teaser image that appeared on Circul’s social media is vague, and it is not even clear if the ring in the picture is the actual new model. Still, the naming suggests a more premium or expanded iteration, possibly building on some of the strengths of the first-gen product.
A ring that tracked blood pressure before it was trendy
When the original Circul Ring launched on Indiegogo in 2024, it stood out for one specific reason. It was one of the few smart rings promising blood pressure tracking. That set it apart in a crowded space where most competitors were still sticking to basics like heart rate, sleep and activity.
Whether the blood pressure feature delivered consistently is debatable. Some users have posted online saying the readings fluctuate too much to be reliable. Others claim that it works reasonably well.
The firmware has seen steady updates since launch, which seems to have improved overall performance and accuracy. Early impressions of poor syncing and rough edges have softened a bit over time, which is usually a good sign for any startup hardware.
One of the more novel features of the original Circul Ring is its stretchable build. The shell itself is metallic, but the ring has an adaptive form-factor that can flex slightly to better fit the finger. That helps with comfort for some, although a few users found the fit too awkward for all-day wear.
What to expect from Circul Ring 2 Max
If the name is anything to go by, Circul Ring 2 Max could point to a larger design, expanded feature set, or simply a marketing label to suggest it’s a more advanced product. There’s no confirmation yet whether the stretchable design will return or whether the company is refining the ring’s shape for improved comfort.
Blood pressure tracking will likely remain a core feature, and it will be interesting to see whether Circul makes any claims about medical-grade accuracy this time around. If they’ve improved the calibration process or sensor reliability, that could push the device into more serious health-tracking territory.
Until then, we’re in teaser mode.
